GIR NATIONAL PARK TOUR

Gir Forest National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes. Gir Jungle Trail, outside the fenced area, traverses deciduous forest and is home to wildlife including vultures and pythons. The Kamleshwar Dam has marsh crocodiles and birds, such as Indian skimmers and pelicans.

Day1

Rajkot / Junagadh - Gir National Park

Meeting and Greeting at the airport, drive to Gir National Park .On arrival, transfer to the hotel and complete the check-in. Now you can relax, overnight stay at resort.

Day2

Gir National Park

Morning after breakfast proceed to Sasangir, Gir National Park has been the only habitat of the Asiatic lion. During the British Raj, lions were hunted mercilessly by the British officers assisted by the obliging Maharajas and Nawabs. Every Maharaja was proud of the number of lions or tigers he killed during his lifetime. In the year 1899 the famine decreased the lion population so badly that Lord Curzon cancelled his shoot in Gir where he had been invited by the Nawab for a ‘Shikaar’. The Lord Curzon also advised the ruler to protect the remaining lions. By the time India achieved independence, the number of lions gets increased, but they were once again hunted by the Maharajas. The Government of India banned the hunting of lion in the mid 1960 and now this park is open only for the photo safaris. The Gir National Park later became a major tourist attraction in India. About 300 lions are found in this park. O/n stay at Sasangir.

Day3

Gir National Park - Junagadh / Rajkot

Morning breakfast, you will depart for home after checking out from hotel and drive to Junagadh/Rajkot railway station /airpot catch a flight for your onward journey.

30% non-refundable booking amount of total tour cost to initiate a booking if travel date is
more than 60 days from the date of booking.
50% pay amount after the all confirmation of regarding your booking·
20% pay amount before 7 days of the departure date

Cancellation Policy: -

The cancellation policy of hotels in India is not uniform , it varies on multiple factors such as the -seasonality , size of the hotel , time gap between the cancellation intimation and the check in date , andvarious other factors which may be unique to the hotel .
Generally cancellations made 4 weeks prior to the arrival date do not attract any penalties, andcancellations / retentions are charged if the time gap is less than 4 weeks. For exact policy we wouldrequest you to contact the hotels directly on an email.
In the event of cancellation / amendments Golgo Tour would charge a processing fee of 10% of the totalinvoice amount. Golgo Tour will assist to try and collaborate with the hotel to get the penalty amount tothe minimum possible and find alternate solutions such as, using the credited amount for future reservations, but the final decision on the same lies with the hotel authorities and it is not Golgo Tour liability.
